So, the New Year Eve's over. Now what?

Hey Buddy, before your mind starts roaming here and there, let me make it clear that this is not any clichéd old fashioned ‘New Year Resolution Ideas’ blog. In this post I will tell you some excellent ways to be productive as well as enjoy this year to the fullest and make it one of the best year of your life. So I request you to read the full post otherwise you will miss some valuable tips.



Bro, you have to admit that more or less, somewhere inside our minds we all were excited for the New Year’s Eve. Yes it was a lot of fun that night, that special New Year’s Eve. Some of us attended parties, some remained at home celebrating with their families, some were busy thinking about plans for the upcoming year and some were calling their friends to wish. But everyone celebrated the eve in their own way, you have to admit it.


But like every special moment, that moment also faded and left us with a worth thinking question “So, the New Year Eve’s over. Now what?”. Haven’t you ever thought of it? My dear friend, I am going to give you the answer to this question below. For now, we can say that this single question divides all of us into 2 simple categories:

  • One, who has made strict plans to follow straight from 1st of January like exercising, reading, no junk food, blah blah blah.
  • The other consists of people like me, and most population of the world for whom it is excitement on 1st Jan, but 2nd Jan seems just a normal day like other days of the year.

But what if I tell you that I am going to make this year a worth remarkable year for you.

How ?

As I told you at the beginning, I am not going to give you the boring resolution ideas that you often find on other websites. Bro, I am going to give you some practically working tips for making this year one of the special years of your life.
So without wasting your valuable time, let’s begin:


1. Start smooth to run longer:
Buddy do you know even after being highly motivated and trying to our fullest, why our resolutions fail every single year? The answer is that at the beginning of every year we try to start any resolution immediately and that too from its highest stage. For example, we keep eating junk food lying on the couch till 31st December and think that we will suddenly start eating salads and go to gym from 1st January. It’s not gonna happen. There’s a saying among athletes that you have to start smooth and slow to keep running for a longer duration. If you want to start a healthy lifestyle then start it smooth. Start by eating just one carrot or banana along with you potato chips on 1st January and improve things gradually and slowly with time.

2. Numbers are your Best Friends:
What does this mean? Let us imagine that you set a resolution “I will start reading books this year”. Now there is a 75% chance that this resolution will Not work. But what if I tell you that I can make it work for sure. As I said, numbers are your best friend. Try to put numbers into your resolutions and see the magic. For example, our old resolution now becomes “I will read 6 or 7 books this year”. I bet you that this resolution has a 99% chance of success now. This is the magic of numbers.

3. Change Taste with Months:
My friend this is the Cheat Code of owning the year. If you want to be happy as well as productive this year, then change your taste with calendar months. Let me clarify with an example: Let us assume that your hobby is painting, you like to eat Chinese food and you like playing chess. Now continue with your habits through the entire month of January. But when January ends, switch your habits to something different and never before tried things for the entire month of February. For example: In February, try pottery instead of Painting, try Italian food instead of Chinese food and try playing carom instead of chess.
In this way you will learn a lot of different things till the end of the year and that too by having a lot of fun.

4. Two Hours of Fun:
This is my last tip for a Successful year and a very effective way to keep you motivated and happy at the same time. Before jumping into the trick let me ask you that do you also feel that years are getting shorter every year? Like the last year just started 2-3 months ago. If it is so do you know the reason why? I have the answer. This is happening because in our current lifestyle we are becoming habituated to the same things we do repeatedly every day. Waking up, then going to school/job, returning home, surfing social media and sleep. It may be little bit different for you but I believe yours schedule is also repetitive. The hack for escaping the boringness is what I call ‘Two Hours of Fun’ formula.


The formula says that no matter whatever boring things you do throughout the 22 hours of every day, do your favourite work for rest 2 hours. It may be any of your hobbies or reading novels or even binge watching Netflix’s web series. It is up to you that what to do and how to arrange the 2 hours. The 2nd part of this trick is that keep changing things on daily basis. For example: if you watched Netflix during those 2 hours today, then try reading your favourite novel during those golden 2 hours tomorrow. In this way you will keep enjoying every single day of the year.
